Anya Mohan, Psy.D.
Anya Mohan is a third-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University. Before beginning her graduate studies, she attained her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Austin. She went on to work at a Short-Term Therapeutic facility for foster children with severe behavioral and emotional difficulties. During her graduate studies, she has enjoyed working with various populations in an inpatient setting and providing assessment and clinical therapy for children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. Anya believes in the importance of building trust, supporting, and communicating with parents to assist them with managing behaviors and emotions in the home environment. She has a distinct interest in working with autistic individuals and/or those with developmental disabilities. Anya also enjoys working with children and adolescents who are looking to explore themselves or are struggling with mood difficulties (i.e., anxiety, depression, adjustment, emotional regulation). She strives to genuinely connect with children and create a warm environment for them to feel safe being who they are and growing into who they want to be. Anya values each child's trust and individuality and seeks to provide them with culturally sensitive care that will address their specific needs.

Anya is an avid martial artist in her free time and has taught people of all ages this craft for years. She is a huge fan of anime and K-pop and enjoys a wide variety of music ranging from Bollywood to metal. One of her favorite pastimes is experimenting with cooking and baking as she enjoys cuisines of all cultures.
