Psychological Associate PSB 94029269
Supervised by Dr. Myers PSY 31543
I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and my doctorate in clinical psychology from California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Fresno.
I have previous clinical experience working in a prison, juvenile detention center, community mental health center, and private practice. I have conducted individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with clients presenting with a variety of diagnoses, including autism, ADHD, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. I also have experience in conducting psychodiagnostic evaluations, primarily assessing for autism and ADHD.
I am passionate about working with and advocating for neurodivergent individuals and marginalized communities. I believe it is vital to receive accessible and effective care in a world that primarily shapes their systems on the needs of neurotypical and non-disabled individuals. Through my clinical work, I have learned to use a more client-centered, strengths-based, and accommodating approach to encourage client autonomy to meet their needs more effectively. My professional and personal experiences have allowed for a new-found passion to flourish, where I ardently advocate for autistic individuals to help reduce the over-pathologizing and misinformation that takes place. I follow the perspective of the neurodiversity paradigm and approach client care from a neurodivergent-affirming perspective. I also have experience working closely with family members of clients and providing psychoeducation regarding autism to increase support and understanding within the family.
In my free time, I love hanging out with my four cats, exploring nature, and discovering new music. I also love learning new crafts, getting boba, thrifting and collecting trinkets, and getting lost in a thriller or fantasy book!!
